Welcome to the

Group classes for ages 7 and under

Get ready for the musical adventure that’s destined to be your child’s favourite day of the week (and yours too!)

From as young as newborns, children grow and learn through creative play. And music has proved to be an engaging way to foster that growth and exploration!

We believe that introducing your child to music should be…

  • More about play and less about performance

  • Comfortable and fun for both kids and parents

  • Stress-free, even when your child won’t sit still

  • Attainable no matter your background

So every child can have a blast while developing motor skills, creative expression, and more.

Jumpstart your child’s musical development with our Musical Safari!

Our music program for ages 7 and under, created by our elementary music experts with decades of teaching experience.

We provide a welcoming space for parent and child to play and socialize, without the pressure to perform, in groups tailored to different developmental stages.

Please note that some classes require a parent/grandparent/guardian to accompany the child.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • We recommend registering for the program that matches your child’s age group. During your first class, you and your instructor will be able to see whether another group may be a better fit. If so, we’ll help transition your family to another group!

  • A child can change age groups at any time during the year as long as there is space in the next class up. If the next class has no space, your child can stay in their current class and will continue to learn new concepts until there is a new open class!

  • The short answer: No! The long answer: this curriculum is uniquely designed to be accessible and relatable to every family, whether your child has never tried to dance before or loves to sing but has no rhythm. Music is just another form of creativity and expression that anyone can participate in! We use every-day sounds and movements to introduce new concepts.

  • The adult-child relationship is a critical part of the child’s development, so our curriculum is built with this in mind. Adult attendance is required for ages 0-4, and each class can accommodate one parent per child. For ages 4 and up, the Pandas & Zebras classes are drop-off only.

  • For the best experience, we recommend that the same parent/caregiver attend the class each week. It’s beneficial for everyone when the parents and children get to know each other as they come regularly; it builds community and makes the children feel more secure. Your child may behave differently with a different caregiver, which is completely normal. If a different caregiver needs to come on occasion, be sure to fill them in on the other adults and children, and what you’ve been learning in the class!

  • The Musical Safari is a different program. We were a certified Kindermusik studio for over three decades, but due to the high cost to families and the content becoming less engaging, we decided to create and teach our own program. We want families to have a more enjoyable and cost-effective experience. The instructors who teach the classes and helped create the Musical Safari all hold Kindermusik certification, and have many years of experience with the Kindermusik curricula. Some have even owned their own Kindermusik studios abroad. In short — you’re in good hands!

  • You may withdraw with two weeks’ notice to cancel your attendance and billing. You can read our full Terms & Conditions during registration.

  • Of course! Whether you’re looking to start with your child as soon as they are one-month-old, or you know you want to wait until they are three or four months old, you can join when it makes sense for your family. The program is designed with multiple four-week themes, so when you register, you can sign up to join in at the beginning of the next four-week theme.

It’s time for music education to be centered on fun and designed for real families.
