Sing, move, and explore together.
Each age has its own class. Babies explore sound through bonding and sensory play. As children grow, songs, movement, instruments, and imaginative play build language, coordination, steady beat, and turn-taking—with a familiar grown-up beside them.

Music Foundations · Ages 4–7
A hands-on foundation for making music.
Children explore piano, ukulele, drums, voice, and introductory guitar while building rhythm, listening, notation, technique, creativity, and ensemble skills. Instrument units give them time to make progress, then carry familiar skills into something new.
Age 4 · Connect sound to meaning
Children connect beat, note names, and simple symbols to the sounds they make on different instruments.
Ages 5–7 · Play with growing purpose
Longer patterns, notation, instrument technique, and group playing strengthen focus, independence, and musical confidence.
Create and play together
Echo patterns, musical choices, leadership turns, and shared playing build creativity, confidence, and ensemble habits.

Questions before you choose a class?
What does an Early Years Music class cost?
Most classes cost $60–$70 per month, or $210–$250 when paying for the 4-month session. The exact price depends on the class and session; each current listing shows its price before checkout.
Where exactly are the Ayr and Hespeler locations?
Ayr classes are at 45 Stanley Street in Watson Mall, with step-free access. Hespeler classes are at 25 Sheffield Street in Cambridge, on the second floor with stair access only. See location details and the map.
Can our family try a class first?
Yes, during designated trial windows. New YBM members can choose two trial classes for $10 or four for $15, subject to space and the current session. Check Group Class Trial Pack availability. Your first regular class is also covered by our satisfaction guarantee: contact us within 24 hours and we’ll make it right or offer a full refund.
When can my child begin?
Children can begin at about one month old, and beginners are welcome at every age. Families can join at any time.
What happens after age seven?
Children can move into a beginner instrument group for ages 8–12 or start private lessons, depending on their interests and readiness. We can help your family compare the available next steps.
What is the cancellation or withdrawal policy?
You may withdraw through the YBM Portal with at least two weeks’ notice to end attendance and billing. The Portal shows your final class date and any billing adjustment before you submit. Trial Pack credits are non-refundable if unused. Full Terms & Conditions are also provided during registration.
What happened to Musical Safari?
Musical Safari is now called Early Years Music. The same teachers and playful learning continue in Caregiver & Child Music and Music Foundations.
Are all newborn–4 children in the same class?
No. Caregiver & Child Music includes separate classes for newborn–12 months, ages 1–2, ages 2–3, and age 3. Activities and learning goals change with each developmental stage.
